Preamble
We the students of Room 205, in order to form a more perfect classroom, establish new rules, promote new options for students, knowledge, and insure equal treatment, develop this Constitution to meet the needs of every student in Room 205.


Article 1 (Legislative Branch)

All legislative powers shall be given to the Congress of 205. Congress shall be divided into two groups: the of Agents and the Senators.

Agents

Qualifications
Each row shall elect one Agent. To become an Agent you have to meet these requirements.

1. You must be at least 13 years of age.
2. You must have been a citizen of 205 for 4 weeks.
3. He or she must have a GPA of a 2.0 or higher.


Term
The person shall be an agent for 4 weeks.

Duties
These Agents are to to make rules for the class, declare war (Dodge Ball Games), and to run the classroom.


Senators

Qualifications
Every two rows will have of 1 Senator. To become a Senator you must meet these requirements.

1. No person under the age of 13 can be senator.
2. No person shall be a Senator without being a 205 citizen for 5 weeks.
3. You must have a GPA of a 2.0 or higher.
4. You must have good attendance of no more than three days of unexcused absences.


Term
These Senators shall stay in office for 4 weeks.

Duties
The duty of the Senators is to approve or reject the rules that the Agents make.


Article 2 (Judicial Branch)

The room is divided into several rows, and each row gets one judge and two jury members (Randomly Chosen).


Qualifications
In order to become a jury member or a judge you must meet these requirements.

1. You must be 13 years of age.
2. You must have a GPA of a 2.5 or higher.
3. You must be a citizen of room 205 since the first day.
4. You must not have any detentions.


Term
The Judges and jury members shall stay in office for two trials.

Duties
The duties of the Judges is to enforce the laws, and to provide judgment to the citizens of Room 205. (If 30% of the class disagrees on a topic or decision it will result in a dodge ball game.)

Bill of Rights

The students of room 205 will be awarded these rights:

1. The students of Room 205 have the right to a fair trial.
2. The students of Room 205 have the right to sit where every they want in class as long it does not become an issue.
3. The students of room 205 have the right to bring in iPods mp3s into class and listen to them as long as they do not become a distraction.
4. The students of Room 205 have the right to bring a snack into class and eat it.
5. The students of Room 205 have the right to special events.
6. The students of Room 205 have the right to speak freely as long as no foul language is used.
7. The students of Room 205 have the right to no homework on weekends.
8. The students of Room 205 have the right to get books if they left them in their lockers.
9. The students of Room 205 have the right to have our own privacy.
10. The students of Room 205 have the right to be treated equal.
11. The students of Room 205 have the right to go outside for 30 minutes on fridays.
